World Environment Day: The Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Action renews its continued firm commitment to protecting our planet and achieving quality of life in our Arab societies.
We believe that confronting climate challenges is not just an option, but rather a fundamental pillar of our mission to achieve sustainable development.
The Center's most prominent efforts to support the environment:
1) Sustainable Development and Climate Action Support Unit: This unit provides tools and methods that support the shift towards climate action, by providing specialized training and professional programs.
2) Supporting green partnerships: We are working to expand and strengthen cooperation frameworks between civil society organizations and various international and local bodies to ensure the integration of climate action into the heart of development plans, and to achieve integration that contributes to the implementation of development agendas efficiently and effectively.
4) Dissemination of knowledge and green applications: The Center strives, through the “Observatory for the Sustainability of Civil Action” to disseminate knowledge and disseminate successful models of sustainable work, which facilitates the process of actual transformation towards sustainable environmental practices for civil society organizations. Among his most prominent cognitive efforts is the issuance of the “Community Vision for Developing the NGO Sector in Egypt” and the “Climate Action for NGOs” Charter, which serve as a guiding compass for enhancing environmental sustainability in NGOs.
5) Arab Green Volunteering Club: The club aims to enhance awareness and climate action at the level of the Arab region, while encouraging young people to engage in volunteer environmental work and establishing green volunteering units within various entities.
6) Supporting youth climate initiatives: The Center is keen to empower youth in environmental issues, through its participation in local youth conferences concerned with sustainable development and climate action.
We are in the Arab Center, and through our partnerships with local and international institutions, we will continue to work with every effort to confront the negative effects of climate change, and ensure a green and more sustainable future for future generations.
